Role Highlights:

  • Developed a cohesive multi-location brand identity through in-store materials and signage.

  • Created graphics for promotions, retail events, and community engagement initiatives.

  • Maintained brand consistency across all four locations through strategic design and communication.

  • Planned and executed 1–2 events weekly, collaborating with local businesses and artisans to host makers markets and foster community engagement.

This role allowed me to merge creativity with strategic branding, ensuring visually compelling designs that enhanced customer experiences and strengthened community ties.

Brand Proposal:
  • Fashion has no gender
  • Size inclusivity: expanded sizes, adjustable buttons
  • Breaking social status fashion “norms”: wearing whatever style, size, colors we desire
  • The colors of each garment will be based on a traditional Beijing food dish.
  • Packaging: each outfit will come in its own tote bag, that will be made out of all of the scraps and excess fabrics that come from creating all of the garments, making our brand zero waste.
  • Knotting: used to hold pieces together but can also be used to adjust the sizing on the piece to tighten or extend fabric.

We designed a sustainable streetwear brand titled, “ Forbidden Fantasy”, named after the Forbidden City in China. The goal in the production and marketing of these garments is to emphasize the revival of traditional motifs/techniques being transformed into and onto modern streetwear. The team focused on the places and people who created these timeless techniques, which remain prevalent in modern fashion. The packaging we designed for our line is a zero-waste, durable, and a unique tote bag consisting of the scrap materials from our garments. Each bag displays sustainable use of materials, while also providing a long-lasting multi-purpose bag. Designing with empathy and educating through fashion is essential to our process and allows for our consumers to indulge in the rich history of these modern, street-wear garments.
